new NIN gets bad after starting so good.
so a few days ago im parousing one of my fave new blogs and see something about nine inch nails songs being found on usb drives in ladies restrooms in portugal. that was quite enough right there to get me reading up. the new thing is called Year Zero (bad name, good idea) and theres already a lot to talk about. evangelical churches, new drugs, and my favorite idea: spectrographic images of the Hand of God touching its fingertips to the earth.
a couple of fans with waaaay too much time to talk about shit talk a lot here - . . . . the first post is always updated, but if you would like, read on for the loving LOLs and HUGS!. .. . techno nerds are real softies.
the songs themselves are pretty good. not as developed as the stuff from [with teeth] - they seem rushed and laptopped, which im sure they were, but thats what makes them good in a way-i hear the garageband touches, the accidental carousing to notes in the solos, and maybe too much of a reliance on tones and textures that made the broken ep so classic to horny, misunderstood highschool kids everywhere.
the concept is more grown up and the way he’s delivering leaks to his own album is pretty amazing. the argument that is hitting home with me is that he will probably release the whole Year Zero album online first, for free, over time, but then drop a packaged cd for consumers and collectors. well, im not sure if i will get a cd, but im not a collector. i thought i would be. i tried getting all of the bootlegs and singles from Pretty hate machine up to the later Downward Spiral remixes, but then gave up, or ran out of money, or listened to hardcore, or emo, or whatever……….yea- just keep an eye out, there are some good songs being released.
my fave and suggested is “me. i’m not.” diggit! ——-damn, i lost the link - just go listen to it yourself———
ben

Good post, your link tag didn’t close, i fixed it for you, it was messing with the comments area.
I also categorized your post under reviews and fixed a typo.
i left the tags open because its so freakin’ GOTH! look at some of the linked pages and its like reading an issue of Radar from 1994! thanks dad……..damn, i wanna go listen to the fixed ep now.
I disagree with you. Indeed, I’m not giving a ringing disagreement, but just sayin’ what I think. I have my opinion, you have yours.
ok- disagree, i dont care.
have you heard the remixed album.
not enough to work with that the mixers had to go to old songs.
well thought of merchandising, poorly executed album.
ghosts is so much better.
