Bjork & The Hype Machine

Have any of you ever heard of www.hypem.com?

It’s basically, your standard “clearinghouse” setup of all mp3 & music review blogs in the tri-state region. (what?!)

1. Go there, 2. type in the name of the band you’re interested in listening to, 3. bask in the glow of all currently posted songs by said artist to mp3 review blogs, 4. which song would you like to hear first? 5. click the “listen” link next to that song, 6. again, bask in the glow of an mp3 player that organizes the previously stated list of songs for you to listen to continuously for hours on end (unless of course you get tired of hearing the same 20 songs over & over again.)

I did this for Wilco to get a handle on the new album…(in case you were wondering how I got all the info on my primo post about Wilco last month).

There are also a few Earth Intruder remixes on there for Bjork AND…please note…a version of the Dancer In The Dark song as a duet with Thom Yorke.

She actually starts to get a British accent near the end of that one.

While you’re at www.hypem.com, check out the list of music review blogs not named pitchfork.

Once you’re done with that, go to iTunes & pay for the best version of Earth Intruders to play it Internet-free on your portable music player of choice.
